One of the best values in a good, rugged, easy to use and maintain rifle is the Mosin-Nagant with prices ranging from $75 to $150 each. That's at least half, and probably one-third the price of a similar firearm, used or new.



This is a older, rugged military carbine type rife in 7.62 x 54R caliber. Ammunition can be purchased at very reasonable prices from such suppliers as Cheaper Than Dirt and Sportsman's Guide.
